Short biography:

Dr. PG Malvindi graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2004 and specialised in Cardiac Surgery in 2009 at the University of Bari, Italy. During the last year of Residency, he attended the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Sint Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands, where he started a systematic study of aortic reoperation that ultimately led to the achievement of PhD degree in Medical Sciences at Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands (2016).  He worked as Cardiac Surgeon at Istituto Clinico Humanitas (Milano, Italy), at Santa Maria Hospital (Bari, Italy) and at University Hospital of Southampton (Southampton, UK). In 2020, he obtained the Italian National Scientific Habilitation for Associate Professor. In 2021 he was appointed Cardiac Surgeon at the Cardiac Surgery Unit, Lancisi Cardiovascular Center, Ospedali Riuniti delle Marche, and Researcher in Cardiac Surgery at the Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy.
