Mario Guerrieri

Prof. Mario Guerrieri was born in Ancona. He has a scientific high school diploma and enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Ancona, where he graduated on 22.7.1986 with a grade of 110/110 cum laude. He passed the state examination for the qualification to practice as a surgeon in the December 1986 session with a score of 100/100. In December 1989 he was the winner of the Competition for Researcher in the surgical area of ​​the University of Ancona and he took up service on November 8, 1990. He obtained the Specialization in General Surgery on June 29, 1991 with a score of 50/50 and praise. In July 2000 he obtained the specialization in Thoracic Surgery with a mark of 50/50 and honors. In December 2000 he was the winner of the competition for a position of Associate Professor, Banned by the University of Ancona and on 7 February 2001 he was called by the Faculty of Ancona to fill this position in the field of General Surgery.Since August 2004 he has been in charge of the Functional Unit of Videolaparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona. In July 2005 he was appointed Director of the affiliated ward of the Clinic of General Surgery and Surgical Methodology of the Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona.In January 2006 he was the winner of the competition for Full Professor announced by the Polytechnic University of Marche and in February of the same year he was called by the Faculty of Medicine of Ancona to fill this role.Since November 2012 he has been Director of the affiliated department of the Surgical Clinic of the Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona; since 2018 he is Deputy Director of the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine. He is also Deputy Director of the Hospital Department of General and Specialist SurgerySince April 2019 he is Director of the School of Specialization in General Surgery. He boasts over 10,000 interventions as first operator, of which more than 60% with minimally invasive techniques.
