Dr. Mariano Cefarelli graduated in Medicine from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in Italy in 2011. He trained as a cardiac surgeon at the University of Bologna (2012-2017) and St. Antonius Ziekenhuis (Nieuwegein, The Nederland – 2015).
From November 2017 to November 2020, Dr. Cefarelli completed a doctoral thesis entitled: “Selective antegrade cerebral perfusion: influence of pressure and perfusion flow on the neurological outcomes of patients undergoing aortic arch surgery”. Since 2017 he has been a member of the cardiac surgery staff at the Lancisi Cardiovascular Center – “Ospedali Riuniti di Ancona”. Throughout his cardiac surgery career, he has always had a special interest in aortic surgery and minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting. In his spare time he loves traveling, practicing martial arts and cooking.
