Dr. Gianluca Torregrossa, graduated from the University of Padua, Italy. After been graduated as cardiac surgeon Dr. Torregrossa, spent 9 months in Sudan providing cardiac surgery to a large population of children. He then completed an advance fellowship in valve repair at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he was then appointed Assistant Professor. In September 2019 Dr. Torregrossa was recruited by the University of Chicago to join the most advanced Robotic Heart Program of the USA focusing on Robotic Mitral Valve Repair and Robotic Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting. Dr. Torregrossa is an author of more than 70 publications in peer review journals, speaks 5 languages and crossed the Sahara on his motorbike.
