Federico Guerra

Federico Guerra is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at the Marche Polytechnic University and Deputy Head of the Cardiology and Arrhythmology Clinic of the “Ospedali Riuniti” Hospital in Ancona, Italy. He has published over 120 peer-reviewed papers on international, high-impact journals, mainly on the interplay between cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

He is responsible for some major health and research institutional projects, involving heart failure in oncology patients and cardiomyopathies, ventricular arrhythmias, and remote monitoring in cardiac implantable devices. He has been asked to participate to over 20 international RCTs and research projects as principal investigator. He is currently involved in teaching at the University both at undergraduate and postgraduate level and he serves as a member of the PhD Collegium on Human Sciences. His international collaborations include the Seattle Institute of Cardiac Research, where he completed an observership program in 2016, and two large international research groups on takotsubo syndrome and electrical storm.

He is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the European Heart Rhythm Society, which he serves as a board member of the E-communication Committee. He is also the current Treasurer of the Italian Association of Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology.
